Hallways filled with friendly neighbors. This is the Altenheim. Located just

west of downtown Forest Park, Illinois. The Altenheim is a place where

 thousands of seniors have proudly called "home" since 1885.

And it's no wonder. From the moment you arrive, you will be surrounded

by a natural beauty that can, quite simply, take your breath away. Our grounds

 were designed by H.J. De Vry, the same renowned landscape architect of

Chicago's Lincoln Park. Everywhere you wander, you will experience the

sounds, smells, and sites of nature.

Of course, that isn't all you can enjoy here. Any day of the week you will find

 something to enrich your world. From exercise classes to shopping trips to our

 in house beauty shop. You can also take advantage of all that Forest Park has to

 offer, including plenty of shopping, excellent restaurants and access to

downtown Chicago on the Metra Blue Line; as well as, the Green Line.
